In Japan, green tea is so widely consumed that it is usually referred to simply as “tea.” The many varieties of tea are determined by how the leaf is grown or how it is processed after being harvested: sometimes the leaf is grown in the shade, sometimes the leaf is pan-roasted after being picked. At Celestial Seasonings, we believe Sencha-style green tea delivers the smoothest flavor and retains the most delicate character of the green leaf. Sencha green tea is made from leaves that are plucked and gently steamed the same day for a taste that’s fresh from the fields. With added antioxidant Vitamins A, C and E, and a breezy citrus flavor, this green tea is as healthful as it is delicious.

For a rich, robust cup of tea, steep 1 tea bag in 8 ounces of boiling water for 4 to 6 minutes. For a special treat, add sweetener and milk or cream. Or try your tea iced. Pour 4 ounces of boiling water over 2 tea bags. Steep for 4 minutes. Sweeten if desired, then pour over a tall glass of ice. Top with milk and indulge.
