Buchu is an herb indigineous to South Africa only and has
a mint like smell and taste. Blended with Rooibos, this is your "ultimate"
Rooibos mint tea. The Buchu leaf preparations have a long history
of use in traditional herbal medicine as a urinary tract disinfectant and diuretic.
It was used to treat urinary tract infections and inflammation as well as inflammation
of the prostate. It is also said to be an effective remedy for kidney stones,
cystitis, and rheumatism. Because of the diuretic effect of buchu, be sure to
consume potassium rich foods while taking this herb such as bananas and fresh
vegetables.

Directions
For a great taste try it with milk, or cold mixed with your favorite fruit juice. Red Tea can be used in baking and cooking. Substitute the liquid content in any recipe with an equal amount of ready made tea.
