Glutamine is the quintessential bodybuilding amino acid. Over
tens of millions of years of biological evolution, human beings lost the ability
to make some amino acids, but not glutamine. It’s just too important.
Glutamine is inside every muscle cell stirring up hydration, volumization, and
protein and glycogen anabolism. It protects arginine and nitric oxide (NO) levels.
It fosters bone and connective tissue repair. It helps you fend off cold and
flu bugs. Your intestine uses glutamine like a bank uses money. All of these
things help you train and gain…and this is just the short list.
When you train with a partner, you can push yourself further and reap more
gains –but only if your body can deal with the extra stress. Betancourt’s
team of expert nutritional architects decided that glutamine’s stress-handling
properties could be pushed even further with the help of a “training partner”.
They found it in vitamin C, some 40% of which is stored in your muscles.
New GLUTAMINE HIGH C™ pairs highly-purified glutamine
and vitamin C in a powdered drink mix format. GLUTAMINE HIGH C tastes so “addictively-sweet”
you’ll be excited to train just so you can enjoy a recovery-promoting,
stress-relieving serving afterwards. Now you really can “deal with it.”
GLUTAMINE HIGH C™
• 5000 mg of L-glutamine and 1000 mg of vitamin C per serving
• Formulated, tested and certified by Betancourt’s own manufacturing

Directions
Mix 1 serving (6 g) of GLUTAMINE HIGH C thoroughly with 240 ml (1 cup) of water
and immediately consume on an empty stomach* at any time of day. During periods
of unusually intense training or stress, consume 2 servings (12 g) of GLUTAMINE
HIGH C per day. Allow for 4-6 hours between servings.
* It is important that GLUTAMINE HIGH C be consumed on an empty stomach.
Glucose (“blood sugar”) uses the same transport mechanism as vitamin
C to get into the body. The usual dietary source of glucose is carbohydrate,
i.e., sugars and starches. Thus, having food in the stomach, particularly carbohydrate-containing
food (e.g. potato, rice, cereal), may reduce the absorption of vitamin C.
Warnings
Store in a cool dry place.
Keep out of reach of children.
Glutamine is not recommended for individuals with liver or kidney disease or persons with Reye's Syndrome or any disorder that causes ammonia accumulation in the blood.
Pregnant or lactating women must consult their doctor before taking this or any other kind of supplement.
